Mol Liga

    Mol liga is a common Hungarian-Romania league, and had the first edition in the 2008-2009 season. In this year 10 teams fought for the first place (Alba Volan SC, Miskolci Jegesmedvek, Progym Hargita Gyongye (RO), Ferencvarosi TC , Steaua Bucuresti (RO), Dab.Docler, NZ Stars, Ujpesti TE, SC Csikszereda (RO) and HC Csikszereda (RO))

The first edition was won by HC Csikszereda, Csikszeredas second team but since then the team went bankrupt and this team no longer exists.

   In the following season (2009-2010) due to some teams financial situation, Mol Liga started with only 7 teams. Alba Volan's second team, Steaua Bucuresti, Progym Hargita Gyongye were out, and HC Csikszereda was no longer a team. NZ Stars became Vasas Budapest Stars and a new team joined the others, SCM Fenestela 68 Brasov (RO).

This season had fewer matches and the quality of the games wasn't the same either. Vasas Budapest Stars won this second season.

So next week, the third season of the Mol liga begins, with 9 teams. This season will have more games and my guess is that the match-ups overall quality will increase. Steaua and Alba Volan returns to the league with different names this time. (Steaua Rangers and Sapa Fehervar AV19). Ferencvarosi TC becomes FTC-Orangeways, last year's winer becomes Vasas HC and as you know by now SC Csikszereda becomes HSC Csikszereda.
  

   Every team will have 32 matches in the regular season (2 home and 2 away with each team). After that the playoffs begin, but will talk about that later when the time comes:)

   Every tuesday, friday and sunday is a game day, so I will try to write a post every monday, thursday and saturday announcing the next game HSC has. And I will try to write some interesting facts before each game.
